Terms and Conditions | HRSE

By visiting and using any of the products and services (sometimes referred to as Program) sold by HRSE, you (sometimes referred to as “Student”) agree that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

The Program is imbued with intellectual property safeguarded by prevailing laws, encompassing an eclectic array of elements such as written text, logos, photos, videos, music, art, designs, and graphics. While perusing these materials for personal, noncommercial purposes is permissible, any unauthorized duplication or employment thereof shall be construed as an infringement. Please note that HRSE's Program is copyrighted, and the materials bestowed upon Students are strictly intended for individual usage, bestowed under a single-user license.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR ON HRSE:

To safeguard the sanctity of the Program, Students are expressly forbidden from partaking in the following activities:

  • Damaging the Program

  • Employing the Program for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or illegal purposes

  • Utilizing the Program to propagate or distribute spyware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, keystroke loggers, or any other malicious software

  • Sending unsolicited communications through the Program, or employing it for marketing or advertising endeavors

  • Systematically or automatically extracting data from the Program

  • Disclosing private and proprietary information from online courses to any third party

HRSE retains the prerogative to refuse access, either in part or entirely, to any individual failing to abide by these stipulations, without prior notification.

DISCLAIMERS:

The Program imparts information only and does not purvey any financial, legal, medical, or psychological services or counsel. It is imperative to acknowledge that none of the content within the Program is intended to prevent, cure, or treat any mental or medical condition. Each Student must assume responsibility for their financial, legal, physical, mental, and emotional well-being, along with the choices, decisions, and outcomes resulting from their interactions with the Program. HRSE explicitly disclaims any liability concerning the reliance placed upon opinions or advice provided within the Program. In instances of specific queries pertinent to one's unique circumstances, consulting with a professional is recommended. Moreover, the Program is not a direct substitute for the residential summer program experience offered by pre-college programs, college-affiliated research programs, summer camps, or the like.

IMPORTANT RESULTS DISCLAIMER:

By partaking in the Program, you acknowledge that HRSE neither makes nor has made any specific representations regarding the results you may attain. No guarantee can be provided regarding the outcome of your utilization of the Program, as results vary significantly for each individual. The Program constitutes an online course equipping students with the necessary tools, methodologies, and guidelines to secure an unpaid research internship at a college lab in the United States. It is imperative to note that while HRSE does not currently guarantee internships for students, access to proven methods and processes for internship acquisition is granted. It is prudent to refrain from regarding past successes as indicative of future outcomes.

 

LIABILITY FOR EXPENSES:

HRSE absolves itself of any responsibility or liability for expenses incurred by individuals participating in a research internship facilitated through the Program. This explicitly includes but is not limited to living arrangements, housing accommodations, or any experiential outlays arising during the course of the research internship. Interns are duly advised to exercise diligence and prudence in managing their financial commitments throughout the internship period. HRSE, as an organization, disclaims accountability for any financial burdens borne by interns in connection with their research internship engagements.

 

LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, OR SITES:

Any links to third-party products, services, or sites within the Program are subject to separate terms and conditions. While HRSE may recommend such third-party entities, it is incumbent upon you, dear Student, to conduct thorough research on said entities before initiating any transaction or relationship.

 

NO WARRANTY:

The information, products, and services offered within this Program are presented "as is" and without any warranties, whether expressed or implied. HRSE disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permissible by applicable law. HRSE does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free functioning of this Program or its components, nor does it warrant the absence of viruses or other harmful components on this Program or its servers.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

HRSE shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Program, including its materials, products, or services, or third-party materials, products, or services provided through this Program. 

In consideration of the Student's participation in the research internship facilitated by HRSE (hereinafter referred to as the "Internship Program"), the following exemption from liability statement is presented as a legal safeguard encompassing incidents, damages, and expenses that may arise during the Student's tenure within the Internship Program:

  • HRSE shall not be held accountable for any injuries, damages, losses, or incidents that occur during the course of the Student's research internship, irrespective of the nature or cause thereof.

  • The Student acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for any consequences resulting from their involvement in the Internship Program, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or any other adverse circumstances that may arise during the course of the internship.

  • The Internship Program provided by HRSE solely imparts guidance, tools, and methodologies to facilitate internship acquisition. As such, HRSE disclaims any liability for the actual internship outcome, its terms, or the conduct and actions of the host institution or research facility.

  • It is expressly understood and agreed that the Student undertakes the Internship Program at their own risk and will not hold HRSE, its officers, directors, employees, agents, or affiliates liable for any unforeseen consequences or hardships incurred during the internship period.

  • The Student hereby indemnifies and holds HRSE harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, expenses, and costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from or related to the Student's participation in the Internship Program.

  • The exemption from liability herein extends to HRSE's officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, successors, and assigns.

  • HRSE shall not be responsible for any financial commitments, living arrangements, housing accommodations, or experiential outlays arising during the Student's engagement in the Internship Program.

  • The Student agrees to exercise due diligence and prudence in managing their financial commitments and assumes complete responsibility for any financial burdens incurred during the internship period.

  • HRSE disclaims liability for any third-party products, services, or arrangements recommended within the Internship Program, and the Student is solely responsible for the verification and evaluation of such third-party offerings.

 

This exemption from liability statement shall remain in effect during the Student's entire tenure within the Internship Program and survive the termination or conclusion thereof.

GENERAL TERMS:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to its conflict of laws. The nearest state and federal court to New York City, New York shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any case or controversy arising from or relating to this Program, including but not limited to the Privacy Policy or these Terms. By using this Program, you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of these courts and consent irrevocably to personal jurisdiction in such courts and waive any defense of forum non conveniens.

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force, and the invalidated provision shall be replaced by a valid or enforceable provision. The prevailing party in any dispute between the parties arising from or related to these Terms, whether resolved by negotiation, mediation, or litigation, shall be entitled to recover its attorneys' fees and costs from the other party.

This Agreement represents the complete understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter herein and supersedes all prior written and oral representations.

HRSE reserves the right to change, modify, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued access or use of this Program after HRSE posts such changes shall be deemed consent to the modified Terms. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding these Terms, feel free to contact us through the website.

HRSE operates this Program from offices in the United States, and we do not assert that the materials presented within this Program are suitable or available for use in other locations. Individuals choosing to access this Program from alternative locations do so at their own volition and bear the responsibility of compliance with local laws, where applicable.
